Job summary

Lehigh Carbon Community College seeks an Instructor or Assistant Professor – Aviation Instructor/Program Coordinator to develop and coordinate aviation programs, and teach flight-related courses including private, instrument, commercial, multi‑engine, and flight instructor ground schools. Teaching may be conducted face-to-face, online, or remote.

The role requires FAA Part 141 credentials, flight instructor experience, and a bachelor’s degree; the position is based at Lehigh Valley International

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Must meet FAA regulations for Instructor Part 141.33(a)(3).
• FAA certifications: CFI/CFII and MEI or equivalent ground instructor credentials.
• Act 153/PA clearances and FBI fingerprinting may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate aviation programs and curricula.
• Teach flight-related courses (private, instrument, commercial, multi-engine, ground schools).
• Teach via face-to-face, online, and remote modalities.
• Coordinate with the Chief Flight Instructor for program operation.
• Maintain records and participate in program and college committees.
