Job summary

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Aviation or Bachelor's degree in Aviation with at least 15 years of instructor experience (CFI, CFII, MEI) with a reputable flight school.
  • Strong communication skills. Ability to motivate and engage with students.
  • Self-motivated, cooperative, flexible, creative.

Responsibilities

  • Teach 12 hours of aviation courses, including ground courses, at both lower and upper levels.
  • Assist in academic advising of aviation students and monitor progress toward degree and FAA certification requirements.
  • Help monitor and improve aviation curriculum and related courses; contribute ideas for improvement.
  • Contribute to recruitment efforts to attract new aviation students.
  • Build relationships with aviation organizations, companies, and schools in the region.
  • Participate in university committees as needed.
  • Provide community service as needed.
