Job summary

Brightpath Associates LLC is seeking a senior aviation engineer to lead airport infrastructure projects across runways, taxiways and terminals. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality while coordinating with airports, FAA, airlines and regulators.

The role requires 8+ years in airport/aviation engineering, a PE license, and a ABET-accredited civil engineering degree. Travel is involved; Texas driver’s license within 45 days is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of airport/aviation engineering experience required.
• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program and PE license required.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office; MS Project/Primavera P6 preferred.
• Texas aviation experience and FAA design knowledge preferred.
• Travel required; must obtain a Texas driver’s license within 45 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead airport infrastructure projects (runways, taxiways, aprons, roadways, terminals, facilities).
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and project delivery.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with airports, FAA, airlines, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Oversee aviation design including pavement, stormwater, utilities, airside/landside infra.
• Review designs, specs, cost estimates, and construction docs.
• Support construction admin, PM, and business development activities.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop aviation staff.
• Ensure compliance with FAA, TSA, state/local regs and standards.
