Job summary

Swissport is seeking a Ground Service Equipment technician to service and maintain all GSE at our station. The role ensures safe, reliable equipment and compliance with all regulations, including on-call maintenance when required.

Candidates must have a valid driver's license, English proficiency, and a certification in Heavy Duty/Commercial or Automotive mechanics. Familiarity with Maximo and Microsoft Office, plus willingness to travel for training or to support other stations, is required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Strong English language skills (verbal and written).
• Certification in Heavy Duty/Commercial or Automotive mechanics is required.
• Knowledge of Maximo and Microsoft Office.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Willing to travel for training or to support other stations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive all ground support equipment, motorized and non-motorized.
• Perform preventive maintenance per schedules on ground support equipment.
• Respond to on-call maintenance requests after hours as needed.
• Diagnose and repair ground support equipment and systems.
• Overhaul power plants, drivetrains, brakes, electrics and hydraulics as required.
• Prepare and paint equipment to SP standards.
• Remove faulty equipment from service until repaired.
• Respond to emergencies and accidents involving GSE.
• Procure parts and materials needed for maintenance.
• Maintain maintenance/repair documentation per regulatory and SP requirements.
