Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services is seeking a GSE Level I Mechanic at AFW Airport to repair and maintain ground service equipment such as tugs, belt loaders and pushbacks. The role involves advanced maintenance, fault diagnosis and ensuring safety standards across a busy aviation site.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• 1-2 years of verified experience required.
• Must provide their own tools and toolbox.
• Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including use of IPads/Tablets, Computers and Mobile Devices.

Responsibilities

• Service equipment with fuel, water, oil, hydraulic fluid and compressed air.
• Log equipment numbers to be repaired with description of work for each piece.
• Inspect, Maintain, Troubleshoot, Replace, Repair, or Modify engines, transmissions, brakes, bumpers and body work.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues per manufacturer guidelines and safety regulations.
• Operate and test ground equipment for performance assessment.
• Complete associated paperwork and track parts.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols.
