Job summary

Swissport is seeking a Heavy Equipment & Fleet Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of airport support vehicles and equipment. Training is provided on airport-specific systems, with a pay rate of $26.00–$32.00 per hour based on skill assessment.

This full-time role requires working outside in all weather, high safety standards, and potential overtime during weather emergencies. Benefits include health, 401(k), vacation, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Heavy equipment, diesel engines, and fleet maintenance experience.
• Trade school training or mechanical background preferred.
• Good oral and verbal communication skills and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive all types of GSE equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance per established schedules on all ground support equipment.
• Provide troubleshooting and diagnostic assessment of ground support equipment.
