Job summary

Avflight Lansing - Lansing, MI is seeking a Ground Service Equipment Mechanic for full-time work at the airport. You will maintain, inspect, and repair GSE and related facilities, performing preventive maintenance and diagnostics as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of GSE experience, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Applicants must pass background checks and drug testing and hold a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Ground Service Equipment mechanic.
• Must have own roll-a-way tool box and meet minimum tool requirements.
• Must pass background check and pre-employment drug test; must have valid driver's license with clean record per company standards.
• Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair ground services equipment used in the support of operations.
• Perform all scheduled preventative maintenance for GSE.
• Independently perform basic diagnostic and troubleshooting procedures using test equipment, manuals, and industry resources.
• Perform corrective repairs.
• Operate forklift and tow equipment.
• Clean up oil spills and dispose of used fluids properly.
• Occasionally perform other duties not related to maintenance, such as aircraft fueling and deicing, cargo loading/unloading, and airline ground operations.
