Job summary

Menzies Aviation in Charlotte, NC seeks a Mechanic to repair and rebuild airport service vehicles, including trucks and hydrant equipment. You will inspect, diagnose and fix gas/diesel engines, hydraulics and electrical systems to keep airport refueling and support operations running smoothly.

The role requires 3–5 years of mechanical experience or technical school background, a valid US driver’s license, and the ability to lift 70 lbs.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years mechanical experience or graduates of technical schools
• Must be 18 years of age
• Must possess valid US driver’s license
• Must be comfortable lifting 70 lbs
• All mechanics may perform tasks of other positions as needed
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles and repair gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual quality control checks on refueling equipment and maintain records
• Provide preventative care to equipment and timely repairs to ensure safe operations
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment per health, safety and security policies
• Perform monthly, quarterly and annual quality control checks on equipment
• Conduct accident inspections on involved equipment
