Inland Group of Companies in Chicago is seeking a skilled Mechanic to service deice trucks and support equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure safety and reliability of critical airport ground support equipment.

The role requires reading manuals and using diagnostic tools, logging work in CMMS, and coordinating with station management on schedules, safety, and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 18+; fluent in English.
• Strong knowledge of diesel-powered ground service equipment.
• Hands-on mechanical skills covering engine, transmission, brakes, electrical/hydraulic.
• Own basic toolbox up to 1 inch sockets and 1/2-inch drive.
• Proficient computer literacy and time management.
• Good interpersonal skills and confidentiality.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on engines and GS equipment.
• Use diagnostics, schematics, and manuals to fix electrical/hydraulic issues.
• Log work orders, track parts, and manage inventory in CMMS.
• Coordinate with station management to follow safety and audits.
• Keep tools organized; maintain clean, safe work area.
• Communicate equipment status and be ready for off-shift weather needs.
