Job summary

CCBC seeks an Aviation Flight Trainer to provide ground and simulator training in accordance with FAA FARs, CCBC procedures, and ATC guidelines. The role collaborates with the Aviation Program Director to tailor student training plans and ensure compliance with standards.

The candidate will schedule students, monitor progress, maintain records, and uphold professional and safety expectations on all training activities, including simulator maintenance and curriculum updates as needed.

Qualifications

• FAA Certificated Flight Instructor (CFI) required.
• CFII preferred; multi-engine experience desirable.
• Associate’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Aviation Program Director for student training requirements.
• Schedule students and track their progress throughout the course.
• Ensure course standards and objectives are met per the Training Course Outline.
• Maintain accurate student records and current logbooks.
• Adhere to FAA regulations and CCBC policies; promote safety.
• Monitor simulators' condition and report issues to the program coordinator.
• Suggest curriculum or courseware improvements as needed.
