Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, Savannah, GA, is seeking an Onboard Software Validation and Verification Engineer to join the Flight Sciences team and the Software and Performance Products group.

You will help implement, verify, validate, and certify flight-critical onboard software for safe aircraft operation, including flight control systems software and applications for performance prediction and mission planning.

Qualifications

• Experience with MATLAB and Simulink for modeling and validation.
• Proficiency in Python with OO design and classes.
• Experience automating tasks and processes.
• Knowledge of software testing processes and standards (DO-178C/ARP4754).
• Strong understanding of flight control fundamentals and aircraft performance methods.

Responsibilities

• Develop and certify safety-critical onboard software for fly-by-wire systems.
• Develop software for performance prediction and mission planning.
• Refine software requirements and use model-based design techniques.
• Perform software testing via desktop simulations, SIL/HIL, and flight tests.
• Update simulation models and automation scripts for SIL/HIL environments.
