Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam is hiring a Flight Paramedic in Durant, OK to transport patients and participate in scene calls with a skilled air medical team.

The role requires 3+ years in 911 or critical care, EMT-P licensure in served states, and BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP/trauma certs with FP-C within 24 months. NREMT-P may be required in some areas. Compensation includes $21.32/hour starting pay plus DOE and a $4.16 hourly area stipend.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a 911 or critical care setting.
• Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certification required prior to flight status.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) required within 24 months from date of hire.
• NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the required time frame.
• Perform daily base checks, including narcotic count.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care from initial contact to handoff with the receiving facility.
• Maintain competency through ongoing labs and clinical experiences.
• Maintain licensure, certifications, CE, safety, and procedures documentation.
• Be knowledgeable in equipment use and routine maintenance.
• Foster positive relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals, and the public.
• Function as a medical flight team member and participate in pre-mission briefings/debriefings.
