Job summary

Guardian Flight in Arizona is seeking a Flight Paramedic to join our air-transport team. You will provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care from first contact to handoff, while maintaining thorough patient care documentation and strict safety standards.

Candidates must have at least 3 years of 911 or critical care experience, an EMT-P license, and BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP with trauma certification. FP-C required within 24 months; instructor certs preferred; NREMT-P may be required in the

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a 911 or critical care setting.
• EMT-P license required; BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certification required.
• FP-C certification required within 24 months from date of hire; instructor certs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each flight within required timeframes.
• Perform daily base checks, including narcotics count.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care from initial contact to handoff to receiving facility.
• Maintain competency through ongoing labs and clinical experiences.
• Document licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and procedures in the Education Manual.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment and supplies used by the program and ensure safety.
• Work with EMS, hospitals, and the public to maintain positive relationships.
• Act as a medical flight team member and assist in pre-mission liftoff and navigation tasks.
• Adhere to safety standards for crew, patients, and equipment prior to liftoff.
• Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed.
• Fill open or vacant shifts within the assigned area as directed.
