Job summary

American Airlines in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Flight Operations Support Specialist to provide cross‑department FOS support, manage aircraft configurations, and generate daily performance reports.

You'll work with Dispatch, Load Planning, Ramp, Maintenance and Crew Management, requiring strong MS Office skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to thrive under pressure, including weekends and on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent experience/training.
• Experience in transport airline operations, including roles in flight operations, dispatch, load planning, ramp operations, airport tower, or maintenance control

Responsibilities

• Provide support for the Flight Operating System (FOS) across all company departments
• Resolve FOS issues promptly and effectively, escalating complex problems when necessary
• Conduct data integrity checks and edits in the FOS database to ensure accuracy and reliability
• Manage aircraft configurations, including additions and removals for deliveries and retirements
• Compile and distribute daily Operations Review Reports and other operational performance analyses
• Coordinate critical operational schedule changes and implement regular FOS schedule adjustments
• Monitor and manage the ACARS (ARINC Communications and Reporting System) for automated flight status updates
• Assist with FOS security measures and provide necessary access and permissions
• Update records to ensure dispatch and other departments have accurate and up-to-date information
• Correct flight records to validate traffic data is factual
• Perform other duties as assigned to support operational efficiency and excellence
