Job summary

Intermountain Health in Murray, UT is seeking a Field Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations at assigned bases, ensure FAA compliance, and manage pilot scheduling and crew currency. You will serve as liaison between base personnel and leadership, and occasionally work shifts at bases to stay connected with operations.

The role requires FAA pilot certifications and strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • FAA pilot certifications required.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities essential.
  • Experience in scheduling and flight operations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Exercise operational control per 14 CFR §135.77 and Director of Operations directives.
  • Oversee pilot conduct per GOM and standards.
  • Coordinate with Base Managers, Mechanics, PR, and Safety Officers for compliance and smooth operations.
  • Monitor and update pilot schedules, manage coverage for vacations or sick days, note payroll-affecting changes.
  • Audit monthly Flight and Duty records with pilots to correct discrepancies.
  • Represent the organization at company and community meetings as a spokesperson.
  • Occasionally work shifts at bases to stay informed on local operations.
  • Ensure Night Vision Goggles and equipment are inspected and maintained.
  • Track pilot currency and updates to navigation and materials.
  • Review and approve expenses tied to bases per guidelines.
