Job summary

Barfield is seeking an Avionics/Electronics Technician in Miami, FL, to join the Operations/Production team. The role focuses on testing, repairing and calibrating electronic aircraft components, using schematics, CMMs and airworthiness directives.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or equivalent and relevant technical training or bench experience. Strong soldering skills, mechanical tools familiarity and safety compliance are required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Technical training by an accredited school or 1–2 years bench experience.
• Reads and interprets maintenance manuals and directives.
• Ability to troubleshoot, repair and calibrate using official documents.
• Familiar with mechanical tools and measurement equipment.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and follow safety procedures.
• Must read/write/speak English.

Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot, repair and calibrate units using schematics and manuals.
• Inspect and test electronic aircraft components for defects.
• Disassemble, clean, inspect and reassemble components.
• Repair or replace damaged components.
• Perform proper operation tests on assembled units.
• Follow CMMs and Airworthiness Directives as required.
• Report to lead, supervisor, or manager.
