Job summary

Barfield Inc., a subsidiary of Air France Industries KLM Engineering, is seeking an Avionics/Electronics Technician in Miami, FL. You will test, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate electronic aircraft components, using schematics, CMMs, and maintenance directives.

This role reports to the lead or supervisor and requires ability to solder and de-solder through-hole and surface-mounted components. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, and 1–2 years

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training or 1–2 years bench experience in avionics/electronics.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate units using schematics and manuals.
• Inspect and test electronic aircraft components.
• Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, and reassemble components.
• Solder and de-solder electronic components (through hole and surface mounted).
• Report to the lead person, supervisor, or manager.
