Job summary

Barfield Inc. in Miami, FL is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician for a Regular Full-Time role in our Electro-Mechanical department. You will support maintenance of aerospace electrical and mechanical units, including testing, troubleshooting, disassembly, repair, and calibration.

Responsibilities include inspecting units, replacing components, and ensuring proper operation per manuals. Requires technical training or bench experience and the ability to work with limited supervision.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Technical training or 1–2 years bench experience.
  • Reads and interprets maintenance manuals to identify issues.
  • Able to evaluate, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate units using official documents.
  • Knowledge of mechanical tools, meters, and gauges.
  • Ability to work with little supervision.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Test, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate units using schematics and manuals.
  • Inspect Electrical and Mechanical Aircraft Units for defects.
  • Disassemble, clean, and inspect Aircraft Components.
  • Repair or replace damaged or worn components.
  • Reassemble and test units to ensure proper operation.
  • Perform a variety of complicated tasks.
  • Follow Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM) practices and procedures.
  • Report to the lead person, supervisor, or manager.
