Job summary

Greenpoint Technologies is seeking an experienced electrical design engineer to develop aircraft interior wiring, harnesses and equipment installations using CAD tools, ensuring Fit, Form, and Function per customer criteria and FAA standards.

The role requires collaboration with Mechanical, Stress, Manufacturing, and Certification teams, adherence to budgets and schedules, and strong problem-solving and documentation skills. WA-based position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Electrical, minimum 5 years relevant experience.
• Aviation background and aircraft interior experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create electrical installation design solutions for aircraft interior, incl. wire routing, harnesses, and equipment installations using CAD tools.
• Create a drawing list of assigned wire and/or electrical equipment installations for project STC.
• Select materials for electrical installations based on requirements and materials specs; evaluate trade-offs.
• Ensure electrical designs meet customer criteria, quality standards, and FAA requirements.
• Understand Bills of Materials, assembly concepts, and fabrication specs.
• Adhere to budget and project schedules.
• Provide design guidance to other engineering personnel; offer liaison support to resolve build issues.
• Interface with cross-functional teams including Mechanical, Stress, Manufacturing, and Certification.
