Job summary

TKDA is seeking a professional electrical engineer to design critical airfield infrastructure, including power, lighting, and communications systems.

You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, learn FAA-aligned practices, and support field investigations and client engagements at various airport projects. A degree in electrical engineering and NEC knowledge are required, with 5+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

  • Accredited bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with five or more years of progressive design experience.
  • Experience with power, lighting, control, or signal system design and NEC knowledge.
  • Experience using AutoCAD and Revit; ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Valid driver's license with ability to travel ~10–15% for meetings and site visits.

Responsibilities

  • Design electrical systems for airfield, power distribution, lighting, control, and communication facilities.
  • Prepare calculations, reports, plans, specs, and cost estimates for projects.
  • Develop designs for airfield lighting, signage, NAVAIDs, and related infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Architectural, and Electrical teams.
  • Support client meetings, proposals, and project pursuits; build client relationships.
