• Current Airport SIDA Badge or the ability to obtain one.
• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist passengers with check-in, ticketing, baggage processing, and boarding procedures.

• Provide timely solutions to customer concerns with high service standards.

Job Type: Full-Time | 12-Month Contract

Pay Rate: $22.30 - $27.86 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday with flexibility to work all assigned shifts:

• 4:30 AM - 1:30 PM
• 5:00 AM - 2:00 PM
• 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM

As an Aviation Customer Support Representative, you'll serve as the face of the operation, assisting thousands of travelers throughout their airport experience. From check-in and boarding assistance to flight communications and baggage support, you'll help ensure safe, efficient, and positive travel experiences while supporting vital aviation operations.

What You'll Do

Passenger Service & Customer Support

• Welcome and assist passengers with check-in, ticketing, baggage processing, and boarding procedures.
• Respond to inquiries regarding flights, schedules, aircraft information, and travel logistics.
• Provide timely solutions to customer concerns while delivering exceptional service.
• Assist passengers requiring special accommodations or commercial travel services.

Flight Operations Support

• Prepare, print, and distribute boarding passes and passenger manifests.
• Verify passenger identification and maintain compliance with airport security requirements.
• Make public address announcements regarding arrivals, departures, and operational updates.
• Ensure flights are boarded safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Communication & Coordination

• Serve as a key communication link between passengers, flight crews, airport personnel, security teams, and aviation operations staff.
• Keep passengers and management informed during weather events, delays, or operational disruptions.
• Coordinate with partner airlines during delays to facilitate passenger and baggage transfers.

Administrative & Reporting Responsibilities

• Process claims involving lost, delayed, or damaged baggage.
• Complete incident and safety reports when required.
• Create and maintain operational reports and procedural documentation.
• Provide administrative support to supervisors and assist with office operations.
• Maintain a clean, professional airport ticket counter and office environment.

Required Qualifications

• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Minimum of 3 years of administrative experience involving direct interaction with the public.
• Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience.
• Current Airport SIDA Badge or the ability to obtain one.
• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, holidays, weekends as needed, and required overtime.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of aviation ticket counter or passenger service experience.
• Experience using airline reservation and check-in systems such as Sabre, Apollo, Fast Air, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of airport passenger services and North Slope operations.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong accountability, planning, and execution skills.
• Proven ability to build collaborative relationships across teams.
• Active listening skills with the ability to influence positive outcomes and welcome feedback.
