Austin Commercial is seeking an Assistant Superintendent II for our Aviation division to contribute to challenging commercial construction projects. The role supports the superintendent in planning, safety, and coordination with project teams.

You will oversee layout, scheduling, cost control, and field operations, ensuring quality and compliance across the project lifecycle. The position emphasizes safety, collaboration with owners and designers, and delivering on-time project milestones.

Qualifications

• B.S. in construction management/science, engineering or related field with 2+ years of commercial construction experience; or 6+ years if no degree.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training required (may obtain within first year).
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; Austin Commercial does not sponsor visas.

Responsibilities

• Assist the superintendent by planning layout, startup activities, and material placement.
• Direct field engineers, verify surveys, and ensure safety, quality, and timely completion.
• Monitor labor costs, manage schedules, inspections, and coordination with owners, architects, and consultants.
