Job summary

KAI 360 Construction Services, LLC is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to coordinate field construction on aviation projects at a major international airport. The role oversees on-site teams, ensures work aligns with drawings and schedules, and manages multi-disciplinary engineering services within budget.

Responsibilities include leading the CM team, managing submittals, change orders, and cost control, while developing strategies with contractors to meet project milestones and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or relevant field with 15 years of experience, or 15 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Proven experience as a Senior Construction Manager on design-build projects.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, regulations, and safety standards.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in managing diverse teams.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project activities, establish priorities and prepare summary inspection reports of daily activities.
• Lead the on-site CM team including contract administration, construction inspections, and materials testing.
• Monitor contractor progress and compare to the progress schedule.
• Resolve technical field issues and coordinate with Architects/Engineers for RFIs.
• Oversee project controls, including reviewing schedules and contractor cost controls.
• Review submittals for conformance and develop strategies with the contractor to meet schedule.
• Lead development and execution of the project management plan.
• Supervise and mentor staff to achieve project objectives and resolve non-compliant work.
• Provide interpretation and enforcement of contract plans and specs.
• Develop change order estimates, negotiate costs, and write change orders.
