Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. in Solon, OH is seeking an Aircraft Composite Technician to repair parts using wet layup and prepregs, including clean room work and autoclave curing. This role supports multiple stations within a growing MRO team.

The ideal candidate has 0–5 years as a composite technician (master 5+ years) and a high school diploma; A&P license not required but welcome. Strong attention to safety, quality, and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Airframe and Powerplant License not required but welcome.
• Journeyman: 0–5 years of experience as composite technician; Master: 5+ years of experience.
• Must be self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Use close tolerance measuring tools (scales, micrometers, calipers, depth gages).
• Use hand tools (drill motors, die grinders, rivet guns, fastener installation tools).
• Align/assemble using jig, templates and fixtures.
• Wear PPE when cutting, grinding, blending, and sanding.
• Extensive use of bagging materials for composite parts.
• Operate curing ovens and autoclaves safely.
• Maintain and repair shop facilities, equipment and tooling.
• Communicate effectively in English.
