Job summary

DAS Aviation is seeking a Composite Technician to repair parts using wet layup and prepregs, with work in a clean room and curing ovens/autoclaves. You will perform bonding and curing processes, ensure quality, and adhere to FAA guidelines while supporting a fast-paced shop environment.

Responsibilities include using precision measuring tools, operating hand and power tools, and maintaining shop facilities. Strong English communication and reliability are essential for daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Airframe and Powerplant License is not required but welcome.
• Journeyman: 0–5 years of composite technician experience; Master: 5+ years.

Responsibilities

• Capable to use close tolerance measuring tools (i.e., scales, micrometers, calipers, depth gauges).
• Capable to use hand tools (i.e., drill motors, die grinders, rivet guns, fastener installation tools).
• Ability to perform alignment/assembly using jig, templates and fixtures.
• PPE must be used when cutting, grinding, blending, and sanding.
• Extensive use of bagging materials.
• Able to properly bag for a wide range of component shapes and styles.
• Capable of using a "Hot-Bonder" type machine cure procedure.
• Maintenance, cleaning and repair of shop facilities, equipment and tooling.
• Safely operate shop equipment such as: curing oven, autoclave, vacuum.
• Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
• Communicate effectively in English at all times.
• Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
