Job summary

C&S Companies is seeking a Summer 2027 Civil Engineering Intern focused on Aviation to join our team in Philadelphia, PA or Syracuse, NY. You will support design and analysis on real aviation projects under mentorship and connect with leadership through weekly intern activities.

Ideal candidates are undergrad or grad students pursuing Civil Engineering, with familiarity in AutoCAD or other 3D modeling tools, strong analytical skills, and an interest in aviation civil engineering.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or another related field. Completion of sophomore year preferred.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or other 3D modeling systems
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem‑solving skills
• Previous internship experience or involvement in a related student association a plus.

Responsibilities

• Creating exhibits/working on plans in AutoCAD
• Creating real life quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for projects
• Reviewing project specifications and understanding FAA rules and regulations for airport projects
• Learning about funding sources for airport projects
• Airport site visits/possible construction inspection (with supervision)
• Collaborating with engineers on real projects
