Job summary

C&S Companies is seeking a Summer 2027 Civil Engineering Intern (Aviation) to support aviation projects in Philadelphia, PA or Syracuse, NY. You will gain hands-on experience through plan creation, cost estimates, and FAA-regulation reviews as part of a mentorship-driven team.

The role targets undergraduates or graduates pursuing Civil Engineering, with opportunities to transition to full-time after the internship for exceptional performers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or another related field. Completion of sophomore year preferred.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or other 3D modeling systems
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills
• Previous internship experience or involvement in a related student association a plus.

Responsibilities

• Creating exhibits/working on plans in AutoCAD
• Creating real life quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for projects
• Reviewing project specifications and understanding FAA rules and regulations for airport projects
• Learning about funding sources for airport projects
• Airport site visits/possible construction inspection (with supervision)
• Collaborating with engineers on real projects
