The ideal candidate will have the ability to participate in approximately 12 months of onsite training at our Aviation Design Center in Fayetteville, AR before a permanent assignment in Denver, CO.

Garver's experienced Aviation Team in the Denver, CO office is seeking a motivated civil engineering student to join our team to train and mentor as an Aviation Civil Engineering Intern.

Internship Description
  • Work alongside and be mentored by experienced aviation design professionals and industry leaders.
  • Receive training from senior engineers in various elements of airfield pavement design, pavement maintenance, airport lighting, and construction oversight for general aviation and commercial service airports.
  • Visit Garver’s Aviation project sites, such as airport hangars, taxiways, and runways.
  • Gain experience in the competitive consulting engineering industry by assisting with project administration, submitting proposals, and grant applications.

Requirements
  • Ability to participate in 3 months of training at our Aviation Design Center in Fayetteville, AR
  • Must be pursuing a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program
  • Interest in pursuing civil engineering in the aviation industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or Microstation
Work Environment

This is an in‑office position; duties and responsibilities are generally performed in an office setting. Occasional travel to offsite locations to perform work and work‑related tasks or to attend meetings may be required. This job description is intended to be generic in nature, and not all listed functions may be assigned. Hourly Rate: $20 - $27.50 (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location) This posting will be active from September 11, 2026 - October 16, 2026.
