Job summary

Garver’s Aviation Team in Wichita, KS is seeking a motivated civil engineering student to join our internship program as an Aviation Civil Engineering Intern. This in-office role offers mentorship, exposure to airfield pavement design, and involvement in airport lighting and construction oversight for both general aviation and commercial service airports.

Garver's experienced Aviation Team in Wichita, KS is seeking a motivated civil engineering student to join our team to train and mentor as an Aviation Civil Engineering Intern.

Internship Description

• Work alongside and be mentored by experienced aviation design professionals and industry leaders.
• Receive training from senior engineers in various elements of airfield pavement design, pavement maintenance, airport lighting, and construction oversight for general aviation and commercial service airports.
• Visit Garver’s Aviation project sites, such as airport hangars, taxiways, and runways.
• Gain experience in the competitive consulting engineering industry by assisting with project administration, submitting proposals, and grant applications.

Requirements

Work Environment

This is an in‑office position; duties and responsibilities are generally performed in an office setting. Occasional travel to offsite locations to perform work and work‑related tasks or to attend meetings may be required.
