The role requires an ABET‑accredited civil engineering degree, a PE license, and 8–10+ years of experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley tools, and MS Office is essential, with strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil engineering degree required.
• Professional Engineer license required.
• 8–10+ years of experience in a specialized discipline.

Responsibilities

• Support overall Project Manager by executing project management responsibilities for respective discipline, including developing hours estimates and scope.
• Provide design status updates to the Project Manager.
• Maintain current department organizational and quality control standards and update as necessary.
• Track the budgets of discipline tasks.
• Coordinate and run project meetings.
• Oversee sub-tasks within discipline for a project.
• Execute quality control and assurance plans as per PMP guidance.
• Delegate tasks to project team members.
• Coach/mentor design staff through the design process.
• Provide consultative services to clients and attend meetings with timely updates.
• Collaborate with sub-consultants and internal disciplines.
• Support development of extra work order requests.
• Perform alternative studies and prepare final client reports.
• Plan/schedule phases of engineering work for major projects.
• Design projects using advanced knowledge and client specs.
• Perform or verify design computations.
• Prepare contract plans, specs and estimates.
• Coordinate with team to meet deadlines and quality expectations.
• Provide technical oversight and guidance to design engineers.
• Lead and manage team members if applicable.
