Position Overview

This position is with a consulting firm of more than 2,300 professionals that provides a full range of multi-disciplined engineering, architecture, information technology, and related services to public agencies and private clients throughout the United States.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and manage landside civil engineering projects supporting aviation clients, including project status updates and coordination with clients and subconsultants.
• Develop contract documents such as plans, specifications, and estimates.
• Coordinate and run project meetings.
• Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other data to plan projects.
• Perform design computations and manage project sub-consultants and support disciplines.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley Open Roads Designer/MicroStation.
• Experience in detailed construction cost estimating and technical specification writing.
• Proficient in MS Office software.

Preferred Skills

• In-depth knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars, Engineering Briefs, and Orders.
• Working knowledge of DoD Unified Facilities Criteria.
• Project management skills including schedules and budgets.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field from an accredited program.
• Professional Engineer license or equivalent.
• 4-8 years of experience in civil design.
• Experience in task management and supervisory roles preferred.
• Road/highway design experience preferred.
