Job summary

Menzies Aviation is seeking a Cargo Handler in Dallas to join our warehouse team. You will receive, store, build up pallets, break down freight, and distribute items while following safety policies and using equipment like forklifts.

Key duties include reading air waybills, moving freight with forklifts, filling requisitions, opening containers, and ensuring counts and weights meet standards. The role requires shift work including nights and weekends, with a starting pay of $20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass FBI background and obtain US Customs Seal.
• English literacy and basic math calculations required.
• Current driver’s license with no violations in past 5 years.
• Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds continuously.
• All hires must undergo security clearances and drug screen per policy.
• Shift: Second shift and overnight with weekends mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Read air waybill, bills of lading, or freight manifest to determine items to move or distribute.
• Move freight using forklift or transporter from receiving to storage or designated areas.
• Fill requisitions and work orders and distribute items to locations.
• Open bales/containers and record counts of items received or distributed.
• Weigh and count items to ensure conformance to standards and air waybill.
• Perform cargo build-up/breakdowns to load freight on skids, pallets, or ULDs.
