Gensler, a global design firm, seeks an experienced Design Manager for aviation projects in San Francisco and Seattle. Lead multidisciplinary teams through concept to construction, driving design excellence and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will mentor teams, manage budgets and schedules, and foster lasting client relationships while advancing innovative design across time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture preferred.
• 15+ years of project experience on large complex projects.
• Aviation project experience required.
• Excellent project delivery and design management skills.
• Experience with Design-build and Progressive Design Build is a plus.
• Ability to manage project scope, schedule, and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Manage all design phases for large complex architectural projects, including entitlements and construction administration.
• Coordinate with studio leaders, clients and team members to meet design goals.
• Present design and technical solutions with the design team.
• Lead client and stakeholder meetings; maintain positive client relationships.
• Develop and manage project objectives, staffing, and budgets.
• Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and oversee invoicing.
• Ensure conformance to contract requirements and quality standards.
