Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking a skilled Business Analyst for a hybrid role based in Chicago, IL, with secondary work in Houston, TX.

The contract position supports a broad range of business and technology initiatives across operations, digital products, data analytics, enterprise systems, and customer experience. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of business analysis experience, strong requirements gathering, and comfort with Agile or Waterfall methods.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, CS, finance, supply chain, engineering, or related field.
Experience gathering, documenting, and validating business requirements.
Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience working in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or Waterfall environments.

Responsibilities

Partner with stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document requirements.
Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, process flows, and docs.
Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and optimization.
Support testing activities including UAT planning, test case validation, defect tracking, and production support.
Create BRDs, functional specs, user stories, and workflow diagrams.
Facilitate communication between business users, development, QA, and project managers.
Assist with data analysis and reporting to support decisions and objectives.
Identify risks, dependencies, and gaps; recommend solutions.
