Job summary

Ontic in Miramar, FL is seeking an Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT/Avionics) Level II to join our growing team. You will report to the Operations Manager and work onsite at our Miramar facility, performing avionics assembly, testing, and repair while upholding safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, FAA Repairman certificate eligibility, and aerospace electronics experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; FAA Repairman certificate ability; associates preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience as electronics repair technician in aerospace.
• Excellent troubleshooting and ability to analyze complex systems.
• Proficient in setup and operation of test equipment – Oscilloscope, DMM, Frequency generator, photometer, spectrum analyzer.
• IPC-J-STD-001 Solder Certification or ability to become certified.
• Proficient in reading, interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, CMMs.
• Understanding of 14 CFR part 145 regulations.
• Ability to use PC applications and ERP systems.
• English communication: reading, writing, verbal.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair and assemble avionics products and sub-components.
• Troubleshoot & repair CCA/PCB to component level.
• Complete reports, record keeping and supporting documentation.
• Train and mentor technicians.
• Comply with internal, external, regulatory and customer requirements.
• Continuously improve production efficiency and quality to meet metrics.
• Provide technical support for all aspects of the business.
• Support license transitions as needed.
• Manage multiple activities and workload while meeting deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, safe and compliant work environment.
• Practice safety conscious habits.
• Other related duties as assigned.
