Job summary

Aerosonic seeks assemblers to support production of probes, sensors, booms and other aviation components in Clearwater, FL. The role involves assembling parts from sheet metal and wiring, performing testing in wind tunnels, and following detailed drawings using a variety of hand tools.

Two shifts are available with a January 2027 start date; training on the 1st shift precedes the move to 2nd shift. A HS diploma and up to two years in manufacturing are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• 0-2 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Work on a variety of assembly operations on complex units or subunits; disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble and test prototype and production released assemblies and subassemblies according to instructions and specifications.
• Follow manufacturing instructions, diagrams and drawings using hand tools including wire strippers, crimpers, torque wrenches, multi-meters, microscopes, soldering and brazing equipment.
• Identify, maintain, test and report defective parts, malfunction and check for calibration due dates.
• Perform in-process visual inspections, dimensional inspections and cosmetic final clean up.
• Perform functional testing on units and running them in wind tunnel.
• Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.
