Job summary

Veracity Engineering is seeking a Computer Scientist to advance CASPER-based voice recognition and model pipelines in a FAA-influenced environment. The role emphasizes end-to-end data handling, model development, and rigorous validation of speech systems.

Candidates with ML/AI expertise and a strong background in PyTorch/TensorFlow and production-grade ML pipelines will thrive. Remote work may be allowed; on-site presence may be required per project needs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field preferred.
• Preferred experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain a centralized repository for CASPER training data, validation data, transcriptions, and model outputs.
• Provide full-stack, DevOps-oriented development across the training and validation environment, including front-end data-management interfaces, back-end services, databases, and APIs.
• Develop an aviation-specific model harness for LLM API integration.
• Develop and train custom language models for simulated pilot speech and behaviors.
• Build scalable ETL, labeling, and data-enrichment pipelines mapping speech to CASPER targets.
• Maintain dataset, label, model, and command-schema versioning for alignment across CASPER updates.
• Curate training and held-out validation datasets across speakers and contexts.
• Automate end-to-end model training, replay, benchmarking, validation, and nightly regression testing.
• Measure word error rate, callsign/digit/command accuracy, latency, and release readiness.
• Explore alternative approaches to improve voice-recognition performance.
