Job summary

The DC Army National Guard seeks an Avenger System Repairer to maintain the automated missile defense turret and related electronics. You’ll diagnose malfunctions, service gyroscopes, sights, and fire-control components, and ensure launch systems operate safely during drills and in field conditions.

Through training you will earn while you learn, with paid training, Montgomery GI Bill benefits, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• Must be between 17 and 35 years old.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Determine malfunctions in electronics, electrical, and cryogenic assemblies; module and circuit elements.
• Maintain gyroscopes, sights, and other electro-optical fire control components.
• Repair and maintain missile mounts, platforms, and launch mechanisms.
• Test and adjust weapons firing, guidance, and launch systems.
• Inspect, test, and adjust components.
• Remove and replace defective line units.
