Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking an Avenger System Repairer to maintain the on-the-move defense turret system and keep the Avenger battle-ready. Responsibilities include diagnosing electronics and electro-optical components, repairing mounts, and testing firing and launch systems.

Training includes Basic Training, Advanced Individual Training, and on‑the‑job instruction. Earn while you learn with paid training, tuition assistance, and a range of benefits while serving part-time.

Qualifications

• Must be enlisted in Army National Guard.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be between 17 and 35 years old.

Responsibilities

• Determine malfunctions in electronics, electrical, and cryogenic assemblies; module and circuit elements.
• Maintain gyroscopes, sights, and other electro-optical fire control components.
• Repair and maintain missile mounts, platforms, and launch mechanisms.
• Test and adjust weapons firing, guidance, and launch systems.
• Inspect, test, and adjust components.
• Remove and replace defective line units.
