Job summary

Evolving Solution Services in Lexington, KY seeks an AV technician to execute on productions. You will work with the Director, AV Services, lead technicians, and production managers to install, operate, and strike AV equipment for events.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical aspects of productions as part of the team.
• Set up, operate, and strike AV equipment for events under direction.
• Attend site checks and ensure on-time production timelines.
• Coordinate with warehouse and venue staff to secure assets and sub-rentals.
• Support Run of Show with other staff for smooth event delivery.
• Maintain knowledge of all show aspects for transitions and roles.
• Play or transfer media for client displays and relaying media to PM.

SUMMARY:

• Execute on all technical aspects of productions. Work with Director, AV Services, lead technicians, and PAV production managers interfacing directly with equipment, stagehands, and contract labor for events to ensure proper implementation of goods and services through the production process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (include, but are not limited to…)

• Serve as a technician in variety of roles and disciplines.
• Works with a PAV Director, AV Services, Production Manager and/or PAV Lead Technician to implement the technical aspects of a show related to assigned role, set up, and operate related AV equipment, and strike event.
• Attends site checks as required
• Execute on the timeline for production to ensure event planning stays onschedule
• Work with Warehouse staff to ensure assets required for event areavailable in the event that assets are not available, work with project manager and/or Venue TD to pickup/return sub-rentals
• Work with Production Managers, Technical Director, and other event staff for efficient Run of Show
• Maintainworkingknowledgeofallaspectsofeventforsmoothtransitiontopersonsassignedto roles (Lead Technicians: General Session, Plenary, Breakout, Exhibits,etc.)
• Responsibleforplaying or recording media for Project Manager or client for event display or to transfer media to PAV production manager to deliver to client
• Work withFacilityEventManagersorPAVCADtechtounderstand the detaileddrawingsofeventperclient specifications.
• Update account/project manager on orderssothey’recurrentthroughoutplanning,runofshow,andreadyforinvoicingatend of event.
• Excellent customer service skills, applied to external and internal customers equally.

SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS/KNOWLEDGE:

• Mustbeorganized,attentivetodetail,persistentanddemonstratetheabilitytofollowthrough projects tocompletion.
• Capable of handling multiple assignments and meetingdeadlines.

Experience:

• 3 years industry or relevant job experience

Education / Training:

• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Applied Science in Live Sound and Show Production, or a closely related field preferred; equivalent experienceaccepted.
• General education requirements in the areas of communication, social science, natural science and humanities provide analytical and communication skills as well as a global perspective of diverse cultures.
