Job summary

Avidex is seeking an entry-level AV Technician I to support installation of audiovisual systems at customer sites under supervision. You will assist with equipment mounting, cabling, rack assembly, and documentation, while following safety standards and project specifications.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with AV technologies, construction environments, and OSHA practices, with opportunities for certifications and career development within the AV integration industry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and Windows.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders/scaffolding.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites, including overnight.
• Flexible schedules including early mornings/evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Install AV equipment, cabling, and system components under supervision.
• Assist with mounting, cable pulls, rack assembly, and system installation.
• Read and follow project documents, drawings, work orders, and instructions.
• Report progress, issues, and scope changes to Foreman/PM.
• Maintain a clean, safe job site and protect customer facilities.
• Assist with project closeout and documentation.
