Job summary

The Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum is seeking an experienced AV Technician to set up and operate audio and video equipment for exhibits, theaters, and events. You will manage exhibit systems each morning, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance.

Flexible hours include evenings and weekends in a part-time role to support conferences, workshops, and partner presentations. Collaborating with vendors and museum staff, you will ensure smooth operation of signage, displays, and

Qualifications

  • Requires strong knowledge of computers and how they operate.
  • Two+ years of experience with Audio/Video equipment.
  • Crestron or Extron certification preferred.
  • Evening and weekend work may be required — flexible hours.

Responsibilities

  • Start the exhibit system each morning.
  • Walk-through the exhibit space to verify equipment is started correctly.
  • Maintain an exhibit log documenting problems and maintenance.
  • Clean filters on projectors, computers, amplifiers, etc.
  • Reboot computers when exhibits freeze or lose video/audio/connection.
  • Perform routine maintenance of exhibit monitors and computers.
  • Shut down the exhibit system at the end of each day.
  • Coordinate with remote support for holographic theater operations.
  • Operate Cinemark theater technology during events and programs.
  • Maintain lobby digital signage and related displays.
