Job summary

The Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum seeks a Part-Time AV Technician to install and operate audio/video systems for exhibits, Cinemark and Dimensions in Testimony theaters, and lobby displays. You will handle microphones, speakers, projectors, monitors, and related cabling while coordinating with external partners.

Responsibilities include daily system starts, walk-throughs, logs, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of computers and their components.
• Experience with audio and video equipment.
• Two+ years preferred in AV environments.
• Crestron or Extron certification preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and team skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate audio and video equipment for exhibits, Cinemark and Dimensions in Testimony theaters, and lobby signage.
• Start exhibit systems each morning and perform walk-throughs to verify operation.
• Maintain exhibit logs and perform routine maintenance on projectors, computers, amplifiers, etc.
• Diagnose and resolve system issues across the Museum and collaborate with remote support vendors.
• Perform minor repairs and routine cleaning of equipment; shut down systems at day end.
• Flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

AV TechnicianDepartment: OperationsReports To: Director of FacilitiesFLSA Status: Part Time, Non-ExemptThe AV Technician at the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum will be expected to set up and operate audio and video equipment including microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, exhibit video monitors and computers, connecting wires and cables, and related electronic equipment for the Museum exhibit, Cinemark and Dimensions in Testimony theaters, lobby digital signage, presentations during conferences, business partner presentations, teacher workshops, third party rentals and the Museum office.
