Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking 2 AV Technicians for contract work based in Wilmington, NC. You will install racks, cameras, microphones, conferencing equipment, and TVs, with hands-on use of Cisco room kits, Extron, Crestron, or Biamp.

Candidates should have 1+ year of experience, be comfortable with low voltage wiring, punchdowns, and professional client-facing interaction. Onsite work and a neat cabling standard are required.

Qualifications

• Experience installing AV equipment and cabling; familiarity with low voltage wiring and testing.
• Ability to perform punchdowns and terminations in communications closets.
• Client-facing demeanor and professional appearance required.

Responsibilities

• Install racks, cameras, microphones, conferencing equipment, and TVs.
• Wire, test, and troubleshoot AV gear to ensure operational readiness before jobsite departure.
• Keep cabling neat and concealed as much as possible.

Job Description:

We are looking for 2 AV Techs with at least 1+ year of experience installing racks, cameras, microphones, conferencing equipment and TVs to a central system. The AV Tech preferably should have hands on experience working with Cisco room kits, Extron, Crestron, or Biamp.

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

• The AV Tech will need to have experience using a punchdown tool, snipes, and knife, as they will be doing punchdowns in the communications closets and terminating jacks.

• The AV Tech should have strong understanding of low voltage wiring.

• The AV Tech will be working in a client facing environment and should be presentable and professional.

• The AV tech will be working with local clients completing AV installation work, cabling work, and troubleshooting as needed.

• The AV Tech should have the ability to install and test AV equipment in order to make sure its operational before leaving the jobsite.

• The AV Tech will be responsible for making sure all cabling is neat and hidden from site as much as possible.

• The AV Tech is required to have their own personal labtop for configurations or for the corporate office to remote login to assist with configurations..

• Must be able to climb a 8-10ft ladder .

• Must have a vehicle to travel to jobsites each week.

• Must have a credit card for expenses which will be reimbursed according to expense benchmarks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
