Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in New York is seeking an Audio Visual Technician to support conference spaces and systems on-site. You will deliver hands-on technical support for internal and executive meetings, ensuring reliability, guest comfort, and a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

  • 2 years’ experience in a client/customer service-oriented environment, preferably in a corporate conference center.
  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Office in an office environment.
  • Familiarity with integrated AV systems.
  • Ability to learn new software as required for the position.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Experience with hotel, corporate conference center, or large enterprise systems.
  • Use of company phone to complete checklists and work orders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide white-glove technical support for internal, customer, and C-level executive meetings, delivering an exceptional experience by anticipating client needs and ensuring a welcoming environment.
  • Actively engage with clients under a hospitality mindset and framework, fostering positive interactions and personalized service.
  • Proactively identify potential AV issues and provide thoughtful, client-centered solutions to address concerns or needs promptly.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of video conferencing services (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, WebEx) for seamless meetings.
  • Provide guidance for Crestron Flex and Polycom VTC codec deployment and operation.
  • Monitor and manage conference room booking systems; assist with alternate room bookings when needed.
  • Ensure conference room setup meets specifications (layout, airwall operation, microphones, projection).
  • Maintain conference room standards for signage, equipment, and seating; ensure a professional atmosphere.
  • Troubleshoot AV devices and wiring; coordinate with IT for timely resolution.
  • Conduct weekly checks and routine maintenance; perform calibration to optimize meeting quality.
  • Communicate maintenance needs clearly and promptly; participate in commissioning and programming as required.
  • Uphold hospitable environment with client-first service across interactions.

This position is primarily responsible for providing support for the AV conference spaces and systems.
