The role covers installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining AV systems, training faculty, collaborating on AI-enabled instructional technologies, and coordinating with Learning Technology Services.
The University of Wisconsin-Stout Polytechnic (UW-Stout Polytechnic), Wisconsin’s Polytechnic University, is seeking applications for AV Technician. This position plays a key role in supporting the digital learning environment and instructional media needs of instructors and students at a Polytechnic University.
This position will provide support for instructional and classroom audio-visual (AV) technology including recommending solutions, troubleshooting, providing training and consultation services. The AV Technician assists with planning and designing AV technologies in all classrooms, labs, and meeting rooms. This position will also provide video support in learning environments. UW-Stout Polytechnic invites applicants who have strengths in communication, training, collaboration, and emerging AV technology strategy. This position reports directly to the Teaching, Learning and Technology Director.

This position requires work to be performed on location at the University of Wisconsin-Stout Polytechnic campus in Menomonie, Wisconsin.
Learning Technology Services (LTS) is a unit with the Learning and Information Technology Department and serves as an instructional center focusing on teaching and learning for instructors of the University of Wisconsin-Stout Polytechnic community. Offering a range of services, LTS partners with faculty and staff to provide expertise, training and support to assist instructors with incorporating instructional technology into their teaching practice and creating technology-enhanced instructional materials.
Competitive salary commensurate with the qualifications and experience.
The salary range for this position at UW-Stout Polytechnic is $54,000 – $78,000. The Universities of Wisconsin provides an excellent benefits package, including participation in the Wisconsin State retirement plan, demonstrating our commitment to the diverse needs of our employees.
This position works closely with faculty and staff across the institution. The ability to participate in on-site, campus-based activities is required.
