Job summary

University of Wisconsin-Stout Polytechnic seeks an AV Technician to support the digital learning environment across classrooms, labs, and meeting spaces. You will troubleshoot AV systems, configure control hardware, and provide training to instructors and staff.

The role requires collaboration with faculty and Learning Technology Services to plan solutions, maintain equipment, and participate in AI-enabled instructional technology initiatives. On-site work; start November 2026.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • Familiarity with emerging AV technology and control systems.
  • Experience with Crestron, Extron, and Q-SYS is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

  • Integrates, maintains, troubleshoots AV and instructional tech in classrooms and labs.
  • Provides training to instructors and staff on AV applications and hardware.
  • Designs and supports AV/media solutions aligned with pedagogy and standards.
  • Maintains inventory and plans lifecycle replacement of equipment.
  • Collaborates with Learning Technology Services on projects and AI-enabled initiatives.
  • Assists with documentation and user guides for instructional technology.
