Job description

Title: AV Technician
Location: Audubon, PA (Onsite)
Duration: 2 years

Summary: Provide professional audio visual services and support to visitors and executives, some international, many with the federal government, in a corporate environment. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with audio setup and production for corporate business meeting and conferences. We’re looking for an organized and self-motivated audio guru with additional technical skills. The candidate should feel comfortable working with many audio systems, platforms, mixing boards, and be able to troubleshoot audio issues in real-time in high stress events and meetings. In order to be successful in this position you must have a can do attitude, be a problem solver, be detail-oriented, professional, and be willing to work in a live event setting with audio and video. The ideal candidate will also have experience with virtual meeting applications, with a concentration in WebEx and Microsoft Teams. Also expect to be running high level corporate meetings and conferences, with, in person, remote, and hybrid attendance.

  • Sennheiser G4 wireless lavalier system for multiple video shoot scenarios.
  • Crestron – ability to test, diagnose, and modify audio visual control systems.
  • Crestron Toolbox.
  • Crestron touch panels.
  • Crestron Microsoft Team’s Room Devices – MX50, MX150, CX100.
  • Willingness to pursue additional training that will be offered to advance your knowledge in the above key areas.
  • Be ready to setup and operate a variety of various video and audio equipment.
  • Production support of multimedia events (streaming audio and video).
  • Edit audio and video clips for publishing.
  • Create and support meetings using WebEx and MS Teams collaboration software.
  • Assist with other A/V Group projects and tasks related to the support of the multimedia environment.
  • Participate in projects and initiatives which integrate with the A/V functions.
  • Occasional moving and lifting of equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown.

Responsibilities:
  • Work on a team with other A/V technicians, and report to a manager of corporate events. Candidate would be responsible for supporting all internal and external events that require technical assistance. These events include large conferences/symposiums, training sessions, various stakeholder meetings, as well as a variety of daily business meetings between corporate staff, stakeholders, and governmental agencies. The A/V Group also manages all technical equipment installed at their campus including the daily operation and support of a state-of-the-art corporate conference center.
  • Daily support activities include a variety of technical tasks such as configuring, operating, and trouble-shooting integrated A/V systems, a variety of projectors/displays, microphones, various sound equipment, computer systems, internet-based collaboration software tools, computer networking settings, and video conferencing systems.
  • Setup and install audio input and output devices, including microphones, mixers, and speakers.
  • Enable seamless sight and sound connectivity across multiple sources, including web conferences, live mix, recorded material, and system prompts.
  • Manage expectations appropriately to often demanding clientele.
  • Deliver service with a smile.
  • Be well respected within the organization for both service delivery and technical capabilities.
  • Build and develop strong relationships by providing superior customer support as demonstrated by clearly owning, resolving and communicating issues and problems; being responsive to needs, requirements, and deadlines; and generally promoting goodwill in a professional and trust-building manner.

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of professional video/audio capabilities, with experience in a corporate environment.
  • Experience with video/audio production and post-production, including, but not limited to a variety of audio installation, operation, software, and more.
  • Be ready to offer technical support for the Conference and Training Center, other corporate conference rooms, and certain offsite events.
