Job summary

Electrosonic in Salt Lake City is seeking an Audio-Visual Onsite Service Technician to deliver AV service at client sites, perform start-up, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and occasional training and live-event support. You should have deep understanding of computers and AV systems.

The role involves working at client locations, following SOPs, able to improvise, travel between sites, and join a team dedicated to delivering high-quality experiences.

Qualifications

• High level of customer service when dealing with clients.
• Ability to analyze customer situations, make decisions and solve problems under pressure.
• Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and detail.
• Basic numeric skills.
• Ability to travel between sites with official client transport service
• College degree in a related technical field a plus
• Strong desire to learn.
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft suite of products
• May include occasional weekend and after-hours work
• Occasional travel for site work, training and team meetings

Responsibilities

• Identify and describe typical AV systems, components, cables and terminations.
• Operate, troubleshoot and support AV systems.
• Navigate project files to provide/ request support.
• Work with AV tools and test equipment; understand commissioning requirements.
• Understand network architecture and control software.
• Understand DSPs and related software.
• Understand media servers and content streaming.
• Understand digital signage networks.
• Follow health and safety rules.
• Liaise with vendors/OEMs to restore services within 6 months of hire date.
