Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in IT/AV tech.
• 2+ years of experience in professional or enterprise AV systems.
• Experience troubleshooting, installing, operating, and maintaining AV equipment.
• Experience supporting live events, classrooms, or executive presentations.
• Experience using a help desk or ticket system.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and other non-standard hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily operational support for AV in classrooms, conference rooms, and event venues.
• Diagnose and resolve issues involving projectors, displays, monitors, microphones, speakers, cameras, control systems, and video conferencing platforms.
• Perform routine system testing, preventive maintenance, and equipment inspections to support uptime goals.
• Complete minor installation and replacement work for AV components.
• Document service requests, repairs, and changes in the ticketing/inventory systems.
• Provide AV support for university events and conferences.
• Coordinate with event organizers to confirm technical requirements and respond to issues during events.
• Work evenings, weekends, and other non-standard hours as required.
• Provide professional technical assistance to faculty, staff, students, and guests.
• Assist users with classroom technology and conferencing platforms.
